Destroy Anthrax Spores ...

Sterilize All Your Incoming Mail

Are you concerned about exposure to Anthrax?

Do you want to protect against Anthrax coming to your office thru the mail?

Do you want to know how to prevent Anthrax Exposure?

Here is what you can do - Use a Sterilizer.

If you receive large batches of mail daily, you need to have a way of ensuring your safety and the safety of the entire office.

For years, medical professionals have used sterilizing equipment to kill bacteria, spores and other dangerous micro organisms.

They know that most bacteria and spores are killed when exposed to temperatures that reach 273-degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. The sterilization is a great process, and allows instruments to be used on multiple patients, while keeping the patients free of disease or infection.

If you put your mail thru a sterilization process, the actual letters would remain mostly intact, good as new. Any printed material will be mostly unaffected by the sterilization. You should note, however, that handwritten letters in pen or marker may become slightly smudged.

Any form of bacteria - not just the Anthrax - which may be in the letter you receive, will most likely be killed, as long as the simple sterilization cycle is run correctly.

In his book Principles and Methods of Sterilization in Health Sciences (Published by Charles Thomas Publishing, Springfield, Ill.) John Perkins shows clearly three different strains of B.anthracis and the most resilient is killed at 212F in 15 minutes. When we sterilize we use 273F for 30 minutes.

*Note - After sterilization is completed, most of the plastic that is on the window envelope, will melt, and become about 1/4" x 1.5" x 1/16" rectangular piece of hard plastic which occasionally sticks to the address surface. It may get stuck to a check also, and if you try to peel it off, it may distort your name from the face of the check.

There are three solutions that we recommend if the above happens:
1. Deposit the check with the plastic on it... the bank will accept it and deposit it into your account.
2. Bend the plastic, it will crack the plastic off
3. When you mail your invoice to your customer, attach a letter stating that you would prefer that checks should be sent in a non window envelope
